TESTIMONIALS

Dear Curt and Stephanie, I wanted to let you know what a brilliant holiday we had at your house! Reynold and Janice truly looked after us and the memories of snorkeling, fishing , beaches and parties in your house will stay with us forever. Thank you for going above and beyond to make my mother's 60th birthday truly memorable.

If you like fishing, diving, hiking, adventuring, exploring, tropical breezes, and beautiful views, then you will love the Spectacular House / property in Dolphin Head, Cat Island. We travel often to the Bahamas, and were looking for a remote location, unspoiled by weekend warriors from South Florida, and we found it. Fourteen of us (Six adults and 8 children ages 2-11) settled in comfortably to our new digs. The kids had more fun exploring the grounds, reading, and drawing than watching satellite TV.

Among our adventures, we hiked up the Hermitage, kayaked through an inland creek at Fernandez Bay, went to a local festival in Arthur's Town, had lunch at Hawk's nest, chartered Renold and Charles for four fishing expeditions (where my kids ages 7 and 11 each hooked into giant Mahi and a feisty Marlin...RIGHT OFFSHORE FROM THE HOUSE!!), and spent a day at Winding Bay...a deserted beach accessible only by boat: when 14 of us showed up, with all the baggage needed for a full day excursion, our Captain and mate did not flinch in finding room on their modest 25 foot boat. "Welcome aboard!" That moment summed up the trip.
We will definitely be back.

Stunning accommodations yet surprisingly affordable! Our luxury
vacation rental, featured divine panoramic views of the ocean, as well
as Cat Islands stunning beaches, from a variety of balconies and terraces.
This breathtaking villa is located just fifteen minutes from the airport in
New Bight. The master bedroom with it's southern exposure was spacious and
offers breathtaking views of the sunset and sunrise. It has lavish
amentities such as a luxurious private swimming pool and private beach.
Air Conditioning (although we never used it with the refreshing breeze
coming in from the Ocean.), Satellite TV, large screen TV,a fully furnished
kitchen, washer and dryer, to name a few.
Our host Renold was gracious and went out of his way to ensure our
every need was met. Renold's hospiitality was only out done by his wife Jan's
fanatastic meals, another highlight of our vacation. The locals are
friendly and the Conch and Lobster is plentiful and delicous. You just cannot
beat Cat Island's beach's anywhere in the Caribbean.
I would highly recommend "The Spectacular Oceanfront" for families,
couples or groups. My only regret is that as word gets out on this
property, it may sold out before we can book for next year.

Thanks for the wonderful vacation Curt!!

Sincerely,

Mark & Kelly

Dear Curt

Let me just mention some of fondest memories of your house:

Having coffee with my daughter a 6 am every morning watching the sunrise from the deck.
Kayaking with my wife and kids to discover private beaches just around the cove.
Snorkeling in the cove and seeing Blue Tangs, Parrotfish, Snappers, Barracudas, Angelfish, Damselfish, and dozens of other un-named brightly colored fish.
Laying on a white sand beach in the cove with turquoise waters at my side and a tropical sun overhead.
Grilling fresh lobsters on the deck that Renold had caught that afternoon.
Watching a different movie with the family each night from the video library at the house.
Having Reverend Johnson sell us fruits and vegetables from the back of his pick up truck, backed up to the front door of the house.
Enjoying a glass of wine on the deck while looking at more stars than I've ever seen before.
Helping our teenagers pull in Mahi, Mackeral, and Barracudas while fishing off-shore with Renold.
Watching a herd of 2 dozen wild goats walk by the driveway at 7 every morning.
Watching manta and eagle rays swim by the cove right below the deck.
Listening to the waves and seabreezes at night through the screen windows.
Jogging in the morning and having everyone who drove by wave.
Flying over the island on the way back to the U.S. and knowing that we'll be back again.

Curt, sorry it has taken this long to give you a glowing testimonial but this married life is hectic and both of us have been working crazy hours. Though one thing always remains very clear in our minds and that is Cat Island and your beautiful house. You never know what to expect when you go into something like this blind and you have nothing to rely on other than what you hope is the integrity of the person you are renting from. In all honesty Donna was nervous. All these people were coming to a destination that we chose with very high expectations and Donna didn't want anyone to be disappointed. As the house came into view that first day we knew immediately that her fears were completely unwarranted and we were in for an outstanding week. The house exceeded the pictures on the web site and the descriptions we had read. We felt like we were vacationing at some house we might have seen on "Life Styles of the Rich and Famous". The place is gorgeous, the views awesome, the people very friendly and the seafood delicious. We had heard that the stores lacked many of the daily necessities we are accustomed to but we found them to be more than adequate. We had six youngsters with us from 21 to 24 and they also had a ball. None had really snorkeled before but after a five minute demonstration they were off and shortly thereafter hooked. They snorkeled and kayaked 6-8 hours a day. They found an abundance of fish, some great reefs and no shortage of nooks and crannies to explore. Unfortunately for us their idea of vacation will forever be measured against this trip and in the long run we will be paying for this long into the future. We will be back, we will definitely be back. We are trying to justify returning yearly and I hope we succeed. Feel free to contact us or use us as a reference any time. Curt we can't thank you enough. We were married on the back deck and will send pictures. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Thanks so much for making our vacation, wedding and honeymoon an event to remember.
Sincerely,
Tom and Donna
